Uber Payments
Designing payment systems that handle transactions and financial partner integrations at scale, across Uber's products.
The app plays a key role in our trainings, and participants really enjoy the competitive element at the end, which boosts engagement. Since working together, the value of our training sessions has clearly increased.
UX was the driving force behind the START project, and its successful deployment proved the impact of putting users first.
It is fantastic to go from a challenge to a validated solution in a single week. We are very happy with the design input and the facilitation.

From idea to product
1. Discover
I talk to the people involved before I draw anything: what the goal is, what the constraints are, and which problem we are actually solving. Agreeing on that is the cheapest thing on this list.
2. Ideate
I sketch, structure and argue the options out until one of them holds up. I change my mind a lot here, which is the point: it costs nothing now and a great deal later.
3. Design & prototype
I do the interaction and the visual design in one pass, and build it far enough to be clicked through, on patterns that keep working long after I have handed the screens over.
4. Validate
I put it in front of real users, watch what changes, and keep adjusting once it is out in the world. Shipping is where I find out what I got wrong.
